Fleming Arboretum Hosts Trail Ride to Benefit Children’s Hospital

KULA- Thompson Ranch will host its 23rd annual Saddle Up Trail Ride Saturday September 12th to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The ride will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Thompson Road corrals, across Haleakala Ranch, to the D. T. Fleming Arboretum at Pu ‘u Mahoe cinder cone within Ulupalakua Ranch.

A local ranch style lunch will be served.

Entry is $100 per person. Participants include riders and non riders who join the lunch wagon caravan. Participants will receive a cap, hat pin, T-shirt, certificate and a chance for door prizes.
Participants are encouraged to seek sponsorship donations to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The person raising the most money will be awarded a trophy belt buckle.
Organizers expect 75 to 100 riders and non-riders to generate up to $25,000 for the St. Jude Hospital. Sponsor forms are available at Wai Ulu Farms feed store in Pukalani; Del’s Farm Supply and at Maui Feed Farm Supplies, both in Kahului.

All participants, riders and non-riders, are asked to check in at the corral on Thompson Road between 7 and 8AM the morning of the event. For more information or to make a donation, call Thompson Ranch at 878-1910.
