Trail ride on Saturday May 31st to benefit hospital

KULA- Thompson Ranch will host its 22nd annual Saddle Up Trail Ride to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The ride will be from Thompson Road corrals, across Haleakala Ranch, to Ulupalakua Ranch and back from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday May 31st.

A local ranch style lunch will be served at the D.T. Fleming Arboretum at Puu Mahoe.

Entry is $100 per person. Riders are encouraged to seek sponsorship donations to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Organizers expect 75 to 100 riders to generate up to $25,000 for the St. Jude Hospital. Sponsor forms are available at Morihara Store in Kula; at Wai Ulu Farms feed store in Pukalani; Del’s Farm Supply and at Maui Feed Farm Supplies, both in Kahului.

Riders are asked to check in with their own horses at the corral on Thompson Road between 7 and 8AM the morning of the event. Participants will receive a cap, hat pin, T-shirt, certificate and a chance for door prizes. The person raising the most money is awarded a trophy belt buckle.
